The Pittsburgh Steelers resumed practice on Thursday as they prepare to take on the New York Giants Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The Thursday injury report is now out and it shows that linebacker LaMarr Woodley (hamstring), linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) and running back Baron Batch (shin) did not practice. The status of Woodley heading into the weekend now appears to be in doubt after reinjuring his hamstring in the win Sunday over the Washington Redskins. Sylvester was termed as highly questionable by head coach Mike Tomlin on Tuesday.
Running back Isaac Redman (ankle), safety Ryan Clark (concussion), and linebacker Brandon Johnson all practiced fully again on Thursday and all three remain on track to play Sunday.
Running back Jonathan Dwyer (quad) returned to practice on Thursday on a limited basis after resting his injured quad on Wednesday. Dwyer told the media that he plans to play against the Giants.
Running back Rashard Mendenhall (Achilles) was limited for a second straight day as he attempts to work his way back from his Achilles injury.
Safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) remain sidelined and have long been ruled out for the Giants game.
