Steelers Remove James Harrison & Jason Worilds From PUP List

Albert Breer is reporting Tuesday afternoon via Twitter the linebackers James Harrison and Jason Worilds have both been removed from the Active PUP list.

Harrison has not practiced since the Steelers first OTA session after having problems with his left knee. The veteran linebacker had a procedure done almost two weeks ago that was rumored to have involved a bone spur being removed from behind his knee cap. Harrison said in an interview on Tuesday that he is feeling a lot better now, but still termed himself as day-to-day. Worilds missed the entire offseason program and training camp after having wrist surgery this offseason.

Both players must now go through the three day acclimation period set forth in the new CBA, and both should slowly be able to start getting work in drills as early as Monday of next week. The removal of both linebackers is good news, and although neither will play Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers, they will now work towards being ready for the opener one week from this coming Sunday in Denver.
