The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up their final practice preparations on Friday in preparation for their week 15 game Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park and the final injury report of the week was released today. Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot), linebacker Chris Carter (hamstring) and center Maurkice Pouncey (ankle) all were ruled out on Saturday for the game Monday night. Doug Legursky will get the start at center Monday night and that means Trai Essex will start at left guard. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (ankle), wide receiver Arnaz Battle (hamstring) and cornerback Curtis Brown (knee) were all listed as questionable on Saturday. Roethlisberger remains a game-time decision for Monday night, but several of his teammates think he will play. Should he not be able to go Monday night, veteran Charlie Batch will get the start. Roethlisberger reportedly was moving around a little better on Saturday. Battle says he expects to play Monday night. Safety Troy Polamalu (hamstring) and and tackle Marcus Gilbert (illness) both practiced fully on Saturday and both are listed as probable.
For the 49ers on Saturday, tackle Joe Staley (concussion) is reportedly on course to be cleared for contact tomorrow after sitting out with a concussion suffered last Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, while linebacker Patrick Willis (hamstring) has still yet to practice. Both are listed as questionable. Wide receiver Braylon Edwards (knee) and fullback Bruce Miller (knee) also are listed as questionable, but are expected to play Monday night.
