Steelers Six From Around The Web – November 10th – Worldly Terrible Towels Edition

We had Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy on The Terrible Podcast yesterday and his latest article focuses on the preparation of rookie quarterback Andy Dalton as he gets ready to face Dick LeBeau and the Steelers defense for his first time. The only rookie quarterback to beat LeBeau was the Ravens Troy Smith in the 2007 regular-season finale.

Trevor Ebaugh points out on the ESPN stats blog that since 2007 the Steelers have averaged 119.4 yards per game rushing when Hines Ward plays and 101.0 in the 8 games without him during that span.

With the Joe Paterno firing being the most talked about news in the sports world yesterday, Ed Bouchette reminds everyone that the Steelers offered Paterno their head coaching job in 1969 before hiring Chuck Noll.

Steelers safety Ryan Clark had some strong words regarding his fine that was announced yesterday and you can hear the words straight from him in the lockerroom yesterday in the video below. Scott Brown and Mark Kaboly recap at the end and give thoughts on the upcoming Bengals game.

Bouchette and Gerry Dulac also have their preview video up as well for the game Sunday against the Bengals.
