A few reports coming out this morning on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger as Ed Bouchette first reported that Roethlisberger suffered a right thumb injury against the Bengals this past Sunday. Scott Brown tweeted not long after that it is a broken right thumb and both report that the injury will not keep him out of the Sunday night game against the Chiefs following the bye.
Bouchette says it is the same type of injury that Roethlisberger had back in 2005 and that he is now wearing a splint now and treating it with electrode stimulation. It was observed that Roethlisberger was shaking hands with his left hand instead of his right after the game ended Sunday.
It is doubtful that Ben will get much work done in practice today and Wednesday with the injured thumb and he has almost a full week now to get it better.
