Scott Brown is reporting via Twitter that the Steelers brought in former Auburn running back Tristan Davis for a physical and he could be signed to the practice squad today. Davis was originally signed by the Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2009 and has also played for the Dolphins, Vikings and Saints.
Davis measures in at 5-10 and 212 pounds. He is 25 years old. Davis is a quick back that the Steelers will likely use to emulate Titans running back Chris Johnson this week in practice per the Tuesday Mike Tomlin press conference.
