Mike Bires is reporting via Twitter that Steelers guard Doug Legursky is in a walking boot today after reportedly suffering a dislocated toe yesterday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Legursky injured the toe on his left foot on the first play of the second quarter and needed assistance getting off the field. He was next seen on the trainers table and never returned to the game. He was replaced at left guard by Trai Essex.
Legursky was making his second straight start in place of injured starter Chris Kemoeatu, who missed his second straight game with his knee problem. Mike Tomlin did not expand on the injury to Legursky during his post game press conference and the next update will likely come Tuesday when Tomlin next meets the media. Legursky is also the back-up center to Maurkice Pouncey, so Essex will likely receive extra snaps at practice with the second team this week at center.
