Steelers wide receiver Limas Sweed told me this morning in an interview that he will likely be traveling to Pittsburgh this upcoming week to workout with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and a few other Steelers players at an undisclosed location. Sweed says he is always glad to see they text messages and emails from Ben and is ready to get back to work. He went on say that it seems like he has been sitting out a lifetime on the sideline. He is ready for the lockout to be over and show everyone what he is made of. Sweed told me has been busy this offseason working out at the University of Texas with some former college teammates and says he is back 110%. He also believes he is faster than he was before suffering the Achilles injury last June that cost him the entire 2010 season.
You can hear the entire interview with Sweed from this morning in the next episode of the Terrible Podcast that will be recorded early next week. Make sure to subscribe to the podcast feed and the iTunes feed so you are alerted the moment it is released.
