Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette reported via Twitter that the Steelers public relations coordinator, Dave Lockett is leaving. Lockett has served as the Steelers PR man since May of 2005 after replacing Ron Wahl, who spent seven years in the job. Prior to being the public relations coordinator, Lockett served as the team\’s public relations and community relations manager and has been on staff since 1998. Before he was hired by the Steelers, he also worked in public relations at the NFL headquarters in New York, and for Ketchum public relations in New York according to previous reports. There is no word on why Lockett is leaving and where he is going, but Bouchette noted it was not labor related. We wish Dave all the best. There is also no word on who will be the new public relations coordinator.
