The Steelers resumed practice preparations on Thursday for their Sunday night AFC Championship Game against the New York Jets at Heinz Field. For the second straight day, S Troy Polamalu (achilles), CB Bryant McFadden (abdomen), S Will Allen (knee) and WR Arnaz Battle (illness) did not practice. Battle was told to stay home by Mike Tomlin, so his illness does not spread around the tea. Tomlin also thinks Polamalu, McFadden and Allen will all work on Friday. DE Aaron Smith (triceps) was limited again on Thursday, but all signs are pointing to him still not being ready to return to action this week.
For the Jets on Thursday, CB Drew Coleman (knee), S James Ihedigbo (knee, ankle), CB Darrelle Revis (hamstring), WR Brad Smith (groin) and LB Jason Taylor (concussion) were all limited. CB Antonio Cromartie (groin), DT Mike Devito (neck), WR Santonio Holmes (quadricep), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), DT Sione Pouha (back) and QB Mark Sanchez (right shoulder) all practiced fully. Everyone is expected to be available on Sunday.
