Steelers 2010 Training Camp Day 11 Recap & Notes – Monday – August 9th

Day 11 of training camp is in full swing in Latrobe with two practices scheduled today, with the later being open to the public. We will have news, notes, nuggets and practice information from today posted up on this page as we get it in. Check back often through out the evening to see the updates per our usual.

  • Steelers morning session was 2 hours long.
  • Quarterback Byron Leftwich did not throw at all.
  • Ben Roethlisberger took the 1st team reps, while Dennis Dixon ran the 2nd team.
  • Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, James Farrior & Aaron Smith all had the veterans morning off.
  • Flozell Adams also sat out.
  • Jonathan Scott (concussion), Jason Worilds (hamstring), Sunny Harris (left ankle) also did not practice.
  • Jason Worilds continues to sit afternoon session.
  • Frank Summers back working Monday after missing several days with a concussion.
  • Casey Hampton back working some today as well.
  • Jason Worilds now being reported as working limited now.
  • Defensive lineman Steve McClendon has been carted off with undisclosed injury.
  • Antonio Brown nice sliding catch from Dennis Dixon.
  • Jonathan Scott (concussion) remains out of contact in the afternoon session. James Harrison sitting out as well.
  • Summers & Worilds dressed but not scrimmaging.
  • Maurkice Pouncey working as 2nd team center with Doug Legursky at right guard and Ramon Foster at right tackle.
  • Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau back at practice.
  • Ziggy Hood still impressing at left defensive end spot beating everyone.
  • Hampton back sitting.
  • Redman spotted at fullback.
  • Rookie Doug Worthington gets past Tony Hills in one-on-one drills.
  • Keenan Lewis working second team left corner.
  • Joe Burnett working second team right corner.
  • William Gay relegated to full time nickel duties.
  • Two tight end, two wide receiver,one back sets.
  • Farrior still making calls in the middle at inside linebacker.
  • Byron Leftwich resting arm today it seems.
  • Tomlin said James Harrison has minor shoulder discomfort, Tony Hills has an ankle sprain & Steve McLendon a MCL sprain.
