Sources: Pouncey Agrees To Terms With Steelers On 5 Year Contract

Per our previous reports, sources have informed Steelers Depot that an agreement will be announced shortly of a 5 year contract with Steelers first round draft pick Maurkice Pouncey. The deal is believed to be an $18 million contract that includes $10.6 in guaranteed monies. We will not know the exact numbers or max escalators until the contract is filed with the NFLPA, but Pouncey should be in agreement by the 4PM deadline today. It is unclear when Pouncey will arrive at Latrobe and we will update this information as soon as we get it. Agent Joel Segal was reportedly looking for an initial contract totaling around 20-22 million, but Pouncey got slotted a bit lower as the picks ahead of him slowly came to terms though out the day on Friday. 49ers lineman Mike Iupati was picked one pick ahead of Pouncey and agreed to a 5 year deal reportedly totaling $18.25 million max with $10.8M guaranteed. This deal pretty much cemented the terms of the Pouncey contract.

UPDATED 1:35 PM The deal is done and according to reports, Pouncey is in route to training camp.
