The steelers began practice preparations on Wednesday for the week 15 game versus the Green Bay Packers. Safety Troy Polamalu (knee) did not practice on Wednesday and has already been ruled out for Sunday. Linebacker James Farrior (not injury related), center Justin Hartwig (knee), wide receiver Limas Sweed (illness) and wide receiver Hines Ward (hamstring) all sat out on Wednesday as well, but all 4 are expected to work on Thursday. Defensive end Brett Keisel (neck) and guard Chris Kemoeatu (wrist) were both limited on Wednesday, but head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday that Kemoeatu will sit out this week.
For the Packers on Wednesday, linebacker Jeremy Thompson (neck), linebacker Nick Barnett (knee), defensive tackle Ryan Pickett (hamstring) and cornerback Brandon Underwood (hip) all sat out on Wednesday. Thompson has already been ruled out for the game. Defensive end Johnny Jolly (knee) and cornerback Charles Woodson (shoulder) were both limited in practice preparation Wednesday.
