The Steelers continued practice preparations on Thursday for the upcoming week 15 game versus the Packers at Heinz Field. Safety Troy Polamalu (knee) remains sidelined as expected and is out this week. Wide receiver Limas Sweed (illness) sat out a second straight day with an illness, it is unclear if he will suit up this week after missing valuable practice time. Guard Chris Kemoeatu (wrist) was limited again on Thursday, but has already been ruled out for this week. Center Justin Hartwig (knee) was limited Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. Hartwig had his knee drained recently, but should be able to go on Sunday. Defensive end Brett Keisel (neck) and wide receiver Hines Ward (hamstring) both practiced fully today and should be ready as well. Linebacker James Farrior (not injury related) returned to practice after having Wednesday off. He has been removed from the injury report on Thursday.
For the Packers on Thursday, linebacker Jeremy Thompson (neck) remains sidelined and will not play Sunday. Linebacker Nick Barnett (knee) practiced fully after sitting out on Wednesday. Defensive end Johnny Jolly (knee) and defensive tackle Ryan Pickett (hamstring) were both limited today. Cornerback Brandon Underwood (hip) and cornerback Charles Woodson (shoulder) both sat out on Thursday and did not participate in the team portion of practice.
