The Steelers began the short week of practice on Tuesday for the Thursday night game versus the Cleveland Browns in Cleveland. Safety Troy Polamalu (knee) and wide receiver Hines Ward (hamstring) both sat out on Tuesday as expected. Quarterback Charlie Batch (wrist) and cornerback William Gay (head) practiced fully. Running back Rashard Mendenhall (ankle) was limited in participation.
For the Browns on Tuesday, defensive end Kenyon Coleman (knee), running back Lawrence Vickers (hamstring) and cornerback Eric Wright (hamstring) all sat out today. Linebacker David Bowens (knee), linebacker Blake Costanzo (shoulder), guard Rex Hadnot (knee), running back Jerome Harrison (illness), running back Chris Jennings (shoulder), wide receiver Brian Robiskie (toe), defensive end Robaire Smith (shoulder) and linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (knee) were all limited in participation. Cornerback Mike Adams (finger), quarterback Derek Anderson (illness), tight end Michael Gaines (shoulder) and tight end Robert Royal (finger) all practiced fully.
