While it would be advisable for the Steelers to run the table, they still could lose 1 or even 2 games and get in as a Wild Card. At worst a split with the Ravens would be advisable with the only other loss coming to the Packers. Based on the other teams in the race and who they play, 10-6 could get the Steelers in. A win Sunday night at Baltimore, would put the Ravens in a very tough hole as well, but not out of it. Below are the 6 teams in the race for 2 spots and the teams remaining schedules.
Steelers (6-4) |
---|
@Ravens |
Raiders |
@Browns |
Packers |
Ravens |
@Dolphins |
A split with the Ravens is almost a must. A sweep of the Ravens would all but knock out the Ravens out of a Wild Card. There are sscenerios where the Steelers can lose 2 more games and still get in as a Wild Card with 6 losses.
Jaguars (6-4) |
---|
@49ers |
Texans |
Dolphins |
Colts |
@Patriots |
@Browns |
Games against the Texans, Dolphins, Colts & Patriots make it a tough road for the Jaguars. The good thing is they play teams still in the Wild Card battle and could elimate the Dolphins from the race in 3 weeks.
Broncos (6-4) |
---|
Giants |
@Chiefs |
@Colts |
Raiders |
@Eagles |
Chiefs |
Thanks to the win at Denver, the Steelers own tie breakers versus the Broncos. 2 more losses by Denver and they will be all but done. 3 tough games remain for them with 2 being on the road.
Dolphins (5-5) |
---|
@Bills |
Patriots |
@Jaguars |
@Titans |
Texans |
Steelers |
The Dolphins almost have to run the table which will be a tough chore.
Texans (5-4) |
---|
Titans |
Colts |
@Jaguars |
Seahawks |
@Rams |
@Dolphins |
Patriots |
Tonight\’s game versus the Titans is huge. A loss tonight only allows them to lose 1 more game the rest of the way. The best thing for the Steelers is that they play the Jaguars and Dolphins still.
Ravens (5-5) |
---|
Steelers |
@Packers |
Lions |
Bears |
@Steelers |
@Raiders |
Splitting with the Steelers would still not put them out. Being swept by the Steelers almost certainly would. Winnable games outside of those.
