On Thursday for the Steelers, running back Carey Davis (hamstring) and defensive end Travis Kirschke (calf) both missed practice once again and both are highly unlikely to play on Sunday versus Cincinnati. Safety Tyrone Carter (illness) sat out Thursday as well with an illness, but should be back on Friday. Guard Trai Essex (illness), linebacker James Farrior (not injury related), cornerback Deshea Townsend (not injury related) and Hines Ward (not injury related) were all back at practice after sitting out on Wednesday and all four have been removed from the injury report.
For the Bengals on Thursday, guard Evan Mathis (ankle) and linebacker Keith Rivers (calf) missed their second straight day of practice and were sidelined. Safety Roy Williams (forearm) sat out Thursday as well after he had practiced fully on Wednesday. Defensive end Robert Geathers (hip), defensive end Frostee Rucker (neck) and fullback Jeremi Johnson (chest) were all limited in participation on Thursday. Running back Cedric Benson (not injury related) practiced fully after being limited on Wednesday.
