On Wednesday the Steelers began practice preparations for the week 6 game versus the Cleveland Browns. Wide receiver Hines Ward (not injury related) had his normal Wednesday off. Running back Willie Parker (toe) and safety Troy Polamalu (knee) practiced fully as they look to return against the Browns. Thursday will be the key day after a full day of participation. Guard Trai Essex (ankle), linebacker James Farrior (elbow), linebacker Andre Frazier (thigh) and defensive end Travis Kirschke (back) all sat out on Wednesday and hope to work on Thursday.
The Cleveland Browns injury report is starting to resemble that of the Patriots. Defensive end Kenyon Coleman (groin), tight end Steve Heiden (knee) and nose tackle Shaun Rogers (not injury related) all sat out on Wednesday. Cornerback Mike Adams (groin), linebacker Eric Barton (neck), linebacker David Bowens (knee), kicker Phil Dawson (calf), guard Rex Hadnot (knee), linebacker D\’Qwell Jackson (hamstring), running back Jamal Lewis (hamstring), tight end Robert Royal (foot,finger), linebacker Kamerion Wimbley (shoulder) and guard Floyd Womack (ankle) were all limited inparticipation on Wednesday. Defensive back Gerard Lawson (groin), tackle John St. Clair (thumb) and punter Dave Zastudil (knee) all practiced fully.
