Mike Tomlin also appeared on PTI with Tony Kornheiser and Mike Wilbon on Thursday. Tomlin responded to the Jerome Bettis article, by offering Bettis a roster spot in a tongue and cheek way as only Tomlin can deliver.
Scott Brown blogged that the Steelers could run their no-huddle offensive exclusively. Brown reports offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said, “That package has tripled in size now and it\’s damn-near the whole offense,” Arians said. “It’s evolved to where (Roethlisberger) can almost use 80 percent of the playbook in it and he\’s gotten very proficient in it. Hines Ward needs just one touchdown to give him 454 career points, which would move him into sixth place on the Steelers all-time scoring list ahead of kicker Norm Johnson (452 career points).
