Steelers Bears Week 2 Thursday Practice Injury Report – Sweed Sits

As expected, safety Troy Polamalu (knee) remains sidelined as he recovers from a sprained MCL. Wide receiver Limas Sweed (foot) also sat out on Thursday with the foot sprain suffered in the team portion of practice on Wednesday. It is looking more likely that Sweed will be sidelined for the Bears game. Linebacker Lawrence Timmons (ankle) was limited in practice on Thursday as he recovers from his high ankle sprain. Wide receiver Hines Ward and defensive end Aaron Smith both practice fully after having a veterans day off on Wednesday. Safety Tyrone Carter also practice fully after missing Wednesday for personal reasons.

For the Bears on Thursday, tight end Desmond Clark (rib), cornerback Trumaine McBride (knee) and linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) did not practice and all three are expected to be out this week. Tackle Frank Omiyale (ankle), defensive end Mark Anderson (toe) and safety Danieal Manning (back) were all limted in practice. Defensive tackle Tommie Harris (knee) and safety Al Afalava (shoulder particpated fully in the Thursday session.
