Scott Brown has an article on safety Troy Polamalu this morning in which defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau compares him to former Steelers star Carnell Lake. The Steelers continue to ease Polamalu into camp as not to aggravate his current hamstring problem.
Mike Bires has the comments made by linebacker LaMarr Woodley and safety Ryan Clark on the anti-Steeler shirt that Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs showed up at training camp wearing.
Dale Lolley says his B.S. meter is going off in regards to wide receiver Hines Ward barely practicing thus far this training camp. Head coach Mike Tomlin has been that there is nothing wrong with Ward. He goes on to say they are likely just force feeding second year receiver Limas Sweed the playbook and extra reps.
A Scott Brown blog entry from last evening says third string quarterback Dennis Dixon looked much better on Tuesday after a shaky couple of days to start training camp. Brown says Dixon displayed nice touch and accuracy on several passes in the two-minute drill portion of practice.
Tight end Heath Miller is slowly improving his work load as he recovers from hernia surgery he had in June. Miller said on Tuesday that he hopes to go through a full practice by this weekend. Also injury wise, running back Willie Parker sat out Tuesday with a sore shoulder and running back Mewelde Moore has a sore hamstring. Safety Troy Polamalu and cornerback Deshea Townsend continue limited work with hamstring problems.
A crazy Detroit man has been charged with sending letters threatening to kill celebrities, including former Steeler running back Jerome Bettis. Beyonce and Jay-Z have also been targeted.
