Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in his post game press conference that it is a fine line between winning and losing, he said the Colts made the plays and the Steelers did not. Colts came up with 3 turnovers, while the Steelers came away with none. Tomlin described quarterback Ben Roethlisberger\’s play as “not up to snuff”, because the Steelers lost it is the only way he can describe it when you lose.
Tomlin said that cornerback Deshea Townsend injured his hamstring and will be re-evaluated Monday. Tomlin did not give much of an update on running back Willie Parker (shoulder) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) other then to say he is hopeful both will be back next Sunday.
Tomlin said the offensive game plan was to take what the Colts gave underneath under their umbrella type defense. Tomlin stood behind his decision to kick the field goal late in the game to take a 3 point lead. He did not want to come way with a bad taste and no points.
Tomlin said there was defensive miscommunication on the Colts final touchdown to running back Dominic Rhodes.
Tomlin ended by saying he is not concerned about Roethlisberger\’s confidence.
