The Steelers former third-round draft pick, safety Anthony Smith, agreed to a contract with the Green Bay Packers on Friday. Details of the contract are not available at this time. Smith was a restricted free-agent and not tendered a contract with the Steelers. Smith will reunite with new Packers safeties coach, Darren Perry, who was Smith’s defensive backs coach with the Steelers in 2006. Smith is better known to Steeler fans as the player that guaranteed a win versus the New England Patriots late in 2007.
