The Pittsburgh Steelers have now finished up their Thursday training camp practice and head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media afterwards.
“Little ebb and flow, some positive things, some negative things from both sides as it always is at this time of year,” said Tomlin. “The big thing is for us to keep as many of these guys healthy and working as we can and I think the more we get an opportunity to snap it, we’re going to continue to grow individually and collectively. I like where those guys are from that standpoint.”
Cornerback Cortez Allen is apparently nursing a minor injury of some sorts but Tomlin said he expects him to practice on Friday. Additionally, safety Mike Mitchell also has a minor injury as he failed to practice Thursday.
“Probably still going to watch Mike Mitchell for a day or two,” said Tomlin.
Tomlin said it’s status quo with the four players still on the PUP list.
“Good work from Maurkice Pouncey today with the rehab staff working,” said Tomlin. “So he’s probably getting close. He’s probably the closest of that group.
Pouncey is currently dealing with a minor right foot sprain.
