It sounds like the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost yet another one of their 2014 draft picks.
Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Monday evening that the Steelers reached an injury settlement with cornerback Shaquille Richardson, who was their first of two fifth-round selections back in May.
Richardson was placed on the Steelers practice squad reserve injured list earlier last week. The nature of the injury that landed him there is not known, but the Arizona product did suffer some sort of knee injury during preseason.
This marks the second year in a row that the team has lost a cornerback drafted in the fifth round to an injury. Last year it was Terry Hawthorne that the team parted ways with due to an injury.
