Season 10, Episode 7 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can and in this Tuesday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to discussing what all Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin had to say at the conclusion of the team’s Monday practice and how the team intends to handle this week ahead of their third preseason game Sunday night against the Tennessee Titans. We go over the latest injury report and try to speculate which starters might play Sunday night and for how long.
Alex and I move on to give several final thoughts on the Steelers Saturday night preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. We go over the play of cornerback Mike Hilton Saturday night and also discuss hoe rookie running back Benny Snell Jr. was used in a short-yardage role and if that holds any kind of significance. We also discuss Matt Feiler not yet playing any at right tackle in the first two preseason games as well as the performances of several other roster hopefuls.
My latest 53-man roster prediction was posted on Sunday so Alex and I review it and the one change that I made so I wouldn’t duplicate my previous effort. Alex recently explored the potential trade value of Steelers backup quarterback Joshua Dobbs so not only do we discuss that post of his, we talk some more about the possibility of quarterback Devlin Hodges making the team this year in some capacity and how we would like to see him used in the final two preseason games in regard to playing time.
As usual, Alex and I answer a few email questions that we received from listeners since our last show posted to close out this episode.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
