2019 Steelers Schedule Leaks – Sunday Night Opener Against Patriots; Week 16 Vs. Jets – UPDATING

The NFL will release the full 2019 schedule later this evening and already a few reported leaks are beginning to surface regarding games the Pittsburgh Steelers will play.

According to two separate people who cover the New England Patriots, the Steelers will open their 2019 regular season on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions on a Sunday night.

This year will mark the fifth-consecutive regular season in which the Steelers and Patriots have played each other. Last season, the Steelers beat the Patriots 17-10 at Heinz Field in Week 15.

The last time the Steelers opened a regular season against the Patriots was in 2015 when they played New England in Foxboro on a Thursday night. The Patriots won that game 28-21.

As usual, we will track the Steelers annual schedule leaks in one post until the official one for 2019 is released later this evening. Please be advised that none of these reported leaks that we pass along should be considered official until the NFL releases the official schedule Wednesday night.

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Steelers will play the New York Jets on the road in Week 16. That game will likely feature former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell playing for the Jets.

According to Matt Maiocco, beat reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area, the Steelers will play the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 3.

According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, the Steelers will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 8 on Monday Night Football.
