Steelers 1934 Throwbacks, A Tradition Unlike Any Other

Did you watch the final round of the 2017 Masters on Sunday? While Sergio Garcia finally won the major tournament with a birdie putt on the first sudden-death playoff hole, a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers got himself some airtime during a replay of the winning putt on CBS.

As you can see below in a screenshot from the aforementioned replay, one fan in attendance at Augusta National Golf Club was wearing his 1934 bumblebee throwback jersey with the No. 7 on it.

The Steelers retired their 1934 throwbacks at the conclusion of the 2016 season after wearing them at least once a season dating back to 2012.

I’m willing to bet that there weren’t many people in attendance Sunday with football jerseys on so props to this guy representing his favorite team when most chose to wear golf shirts and such.
