Some strange piece of news coming out this evening. Joey Porter has been reportedly placed in the back of a squad car after getting into an “altercation” with an officer on the South Side this evening. The Beaver County Times’ Chris Mueller was first to report. He issued a series of tweets about the incident.

We’ll update the story as it develops, and be sure to follow Mueller for any immediate details. Porter has served as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ outside linebackers coach for the past two seasons and has coached with the team the last three. He played for the team from 1999 to 2006.
UPDATE: WPXI says the Steelers have told they’re aware of the incident.
