Bengals’ Pacman Jones Arrested On Felony Charges

Happy New Year, Cincinnati.

Pacman Jones was arrested overnight on multiple chargers, according to Cincinnati police. Those chargers include: assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business. He’s accused of of spitting on a nurse and police officer after being transported to jail, adding a felony charge of harassment with a bodily substance. Sports Illustrated has all the details.

Jones’ legal problems stem back to his rookie year. He was arrested in 2005, twice in 2006, and was suspended for the 2007 season by Roger Goodell following a shooting incident he was involved in during NBA All-Star weekend. His legal life had been relatively quiet until today. His actions today could cause the NFL to look into league punishment.

He started in all 16 games for the Bengals this season, making 66 tackles and intercepting one pass. Having just signed a new deal last March, he’s under contract through 2018.
