2016 NFL Week 17: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday to all of you once again and I hope 2016 was a great year for you.

For me, 2016 was full of change as not only did we move across the country to Las Vegas, we have since bought another house after spending the first six months in an apartment. Not only that, we lost Toby in late June and just recently adopted a new puppy, Finley Pearl. I’m now ready for a 2017 full of normalcy and zero changes. It’s funny how much things can change within a span of 365 days.

2017 will begin with the Pittsburgh Steelers closing out their 2016 regular season at home against the Cleveland Browns. While it is a meaningless game for the playoff-bound Steelers, there will still be quite a bit to look for on Sunday and especially when it comes to quarterback Landry Jones and a few other younger players on the 53-man roster. Keep your fingers crossed that nobody gets injured. If that happens, consider it a win for the Steelers regardless of what the scoreboard says.

After being real down on the Steelers defense at that midway point of the season, I’m now optimistic about the possibility of that unit holding up their end of things when it comes to a run at another Lombardi Trophy. The rookies are playing much better and assuming defensive end Stephon Tuitt will be healthy for the playoffs, perhaps a trip to Houston will be in the cards.

As usual, I have five questions for you to answer on this Friday which just so happens to be the final one of 2016. Have a happy and safe New Year and thank you for making 2016 great for us here on the site.

Peace and love, peace and love.

1 – Would you like to see the Steelers re-sign quarterback Landry Jones during the offseason if they can do so for $2 million or less a year?

2 – How many total touches will Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams have in Sunday’s game against the Browns?

3 – Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was voted team MVP this past week and with good reason. However, if the team was forced to vote for a defensive MVP, which player should win it?

4 – If forced to choose, would you rather see wide receiver Demarcus Ayers return punts against the Browns, or cornerback Justin Gilbert return kickoffs? Yes, is not a valid answer. You must choose one or the other.

5 – What is your biggest takeaway from the Steelers’ season heading into Week 17?
