2016 NFL Week 7: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday to all of you once again. Man, this hasn’t been a great Friday for me so far as I couldn’t get on Twitter for several, several hours after that DDoS attack took place this morning. I guess big cities on the West Coast had to suffer longer than most.

Well, we will be moving at the end of next week once again and I certainly am not looking forward to that process even though I must admit that I cannot wait to get out of this apartment and back into a home. I will be out of action on Thursday, but should be back in the swing of things on Friday. It’s nice that this will coincide with the Pittsburgh Steelers bye week.

Speaking of the Steelers, they will host the New England Patriots Sunday at Heinz Field and I’m probably not alone when it comes to dreading watching this game. With that said, anything can happen on any given Sunday in the NFL. Just ask fans of the Miami Dolphins.

Moving on now. As usual, I have five questions for you to answer on this gloomy Friday evening and I hope several of you will take a little bit of time to do just that. Have a great weekend and for God’s sake, don’t panic before the Steelers game gets underway.

1 – Bodog currently has proposition odds listed for Steelers quarterback Landry Jones ahead of Sunday’s game against the Patriots. As far as passing yards go, the over/under is 250.5 and for interceptions, it’s 1. Which side of both prop bets are you on?

2 – Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell has a chance to make a big impact in Sunday’s game against the Patriots and especially if his teammates on the other side of the football do their part. With that said, how many total yards from scrimmage will Bell need on Sunday for the Steelers to win the game?

3 – With running back DeAngelo Williams ruled out for the Patriots game on Friday with a knee injury, the Steelers “might” decide to promote either Daryl Richardson or Karlos Williams from the practice squad. Which of the two are you hoping gets the call-up and why? Additionally, if one of the two is promoted, which player is most likely to get released, waived, or placed on the Reserve/Injured list?

4 – Should the Steelers somehow find a way to upset the Patriots on Sunday at home, will the post-game narrative mostly be about Jones playing well, Tom Brady playing poorly, or the defense over-achieving? We can dream, right?

5 – If it happens, where would you rank a Jones win over Brady as far as the big regular-season wins the Steelers have had over the course of the last 10 years? Would it be No. 1? Additionally, which past regular-season win in the last 10 years is currently the biggest one? Let me know the first one that comes to mind.
