Steelers S Shamarko Thomas Leaves Saints Game With Groin Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers have already suffered an injury in their Friday night preseason game against the New Orleans Saints as safety Shamarko Thomas has left the contest with a groin injury.

Thomas was likely injured while covering a kickoff.

The Steelers certainly can’t afford to lose depth at the safety position. It will now be interesting to see if cornerback Doran Grant gets playing time at safety later in the game.

Thomas reportedly won’t return.

The Steelers currently lead the Saints 14-0.
