Being as we are going to be thoroughly breaking down the play of new Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Artie Burns over the course of the next several weeks, I’m sure that’s going to include a lot of negative aspects related to his play over the course of the last few seasons at Miami. In order to break that ice some, I thought we would start focus on some positives immediately after his selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Below are the six interceptions that Burns registered in 2015 at Miami for you to see and the first three came during Miami’s first three games of the season. Burns’ fourth and fifth interceptions came in the Hurricane’s sixth game of the season against Virginia Tech and his final pick came against Pittsburgh during the second to last game.
Burns, as you will see, has very good ball skills and that’s an encouraging place to start when it comes to looking at his finer points. We’ll have more thorough breakdowns for you in the very near future.
