Rams Move Up To #1 Overall In Blockbuster Deal With Titans

California sports is in a state of one-upping each other by the hour. The Los Angeles Rams have traded with the Tennessee Titans to acquire the #1 pick in this year’s draft. As you would expect, the cost of doing business was not cheap. Here are the full trade details.

There are conflicting reports over whether the Rams will take Jared Goff or Carson Wentz but obviously, they’ll be walking away with a quarterback. It’s the first time since 2001 that a team has moved up to the top start, the Atlanta Falcons taking Mike Vick (and we’ve come full circle), dealing with the San Diego Chargers.

This, of course, does not have a substantial effect on Pittsburgh, though there are a few indirect results. The Cleveland Browns may not be able to choose their QB now, taking whoever the Rams do not. Left tackle Laremy Tunsil or cornerback Jalen Ramsey could fall to the six spot, where the Baltimore Ravens would eagerly grab either up. In true talent, they are arguably the top two players in the draft.
