Report: Jaguars Sign Kelvin Beachum

Though signing Ryan Harris made it pretty clear, it is now official. Kelvin Beachum will not be in Pittsburgh next year. The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed him, according to Adam Schefter.

Terms of the deal are not immediately known though it’s likely he was signed to a one year deal to rebuild value after tearing his ACL. It’s also unclear if he’ll be the team’s starting left or right tackle. Beachum’s best days, of course, came on the left side in Pittsburgh.

Drafted in the 7th round, Beachum had one of the best return-on-investments under Kevin Colbert. He started 41 career games, including all 16 in 2014. He was building up to be one of the better left tackles in the game before getting injured against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Steelers will now roll with Alejandro Villanueva, Marcus Gilbert, and Ryan Harris as their “big three” at tackle this season.
