The 2016 new league year has finally arrived and barring any last minute re-signings, the Pittsburgh Steelers now have 15 players who are free agents.
The Steelers list of unrestricted free agents is led by tackle Kelvin Beachum and nose tackle Steve McLendon. While the Steelers probably would’ve liked to have gotten new deals done with both of those players, it doesn’t appear as though that happened.
The next highest-profile player on the Steelers list is cornerback Brandon Boykin, who the team acquired last year during training camp via a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. At this point, one would think that Boykin will wind up signing elsewhere in the coming hours or days.
As far as I know, the Steelers never gave a restricted tender to linebacker Terence Garvin.
