Season 6, Episode 69 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and in this show, David Todd and I get right at it talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers securing a playoff spot Sunday thanks to their win over the Cleveland Browns and the Buffalo Bills beating the New York Jets.
Before we get into breaking down the Steelers game against the Browns, David and I spend some time talking about the ankle injury that running back DeAngelo Williams suffered Sunday and what the team will do if he’s unable to play Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Can Fitzgerald Toussaint and Jordan Todman both handle the load? We seem to think so.
We move to talk about the play of the Steelers offense and defense on Sunday and spend a little time talking specifically about the play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Martavis Bryant over the course of the last few weeks.
We also talk about a few players who have stepped up on defense in addition to how that unit attacked the Browns offense on Sunday.
David and I look ahead a little at the Steelers Wild Card matchup as well as their potential path to the Super Bowl to close this show out.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here in this post.
