Steelers Total Player Snap Counts For 2015 Season

Now that the Pittsburgh Steelers 2015 season has ended, we can now take a look at the final snap totals for the entire year and you will see those in the table below.

Offensively for the Steelers, guards David DeCastro and Ramon Foster were both iron men this past season as both played every snap. If not for a few kneel down snaps, center Cody Wallace would’ve been able to say the same thing and tackle Marcus Gilbert was only 5 snaps short of playing every snap as well.

Defensively for the Steelers, cornerback William Gay led the way in total snaps played. Linebacker Lawrence Timmons wasn’t too far behind. It’s also worth pointing out that cornerback Brandon Boykin finished the year having played roughly 25% of all defensive snaps. After being signed off of the street just prior to the start of the regular season, cornerback Ross Cockrell wound up playing roughly 62% of all defensive snaps in 2015.

As far as the Steelers rookie draft picks go, Bud Dupree, Sammie Coates, Doran Grant, Jesse James, Anthony Chickillo and L.T. Walton all saw some degree of playing time on either offense or defense over the course of the season. Had Senquez Golson not had his season wiped out by a shoulder injury, it’s easy to speculate that he would’ve played on the defensive side of the football as well.
