Report: Maurkice Pouncey Out Of His Walking Boot

On a day where Mike Adams’ season has appeared to end, Maurkice Pouncey’s has been given some life. The Pro Bowl center is out of his walking boot, according to a tweet sent out by Dale Lolley.

According to a Pouncey Instagram post, he recently visited North Carolina. While the exact reason isn’t known, the ankle specialist Pouncey sees is located there. With this news, it makes sense the doctor cleared him. Pouncey was in a boot as recently as a week ago.

Mike Tomlin has consistently given little update on Pouncey’s status. He again had no new information today, saying he hadn’t checked on Pouncey’s status but would “at some point this evening.”

Pouncey is currently on the IR/designated to return list. There is still no timetable for his return but there is now hope he can come back at some point this season. Cody Wallace will continue to start until his return. He’s allowed a team high 4.5 sacks this season but hasn’t given one up in five weeks.
