According to Pittsburgh Steelers PR/Media Manager Dom Rinelli, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward can become the franchise’s second defensive end with three straight 5-sack seasons with a sack today against the Seattle Seahawks. Currently, Heyward has 4 sacks on the season after registering 7.5 last season.
With his next sack, Cameron Heyward would become the 2nd #Steelers DE with three straight 5-sack seasons since sacks became official in 1982

It has also been brought to my attention that Heyward has an online campaign going that’s focused on raising money for a charity based on the amount of sacks he records. His Sacks for Foster Children campaign focuses on helping provide better opportunities to children in need. If interested, you can pledge any dollar amount for every sack recorded by Heyward this season, or you can make a one-time donation.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has already been sacked 35 times so far this season, so odds are good that Heyward will get several opportunities to add to his sack total in Sunday’s road game. He’ll be going against Russell Okung and Justin Britt and both have had issues at times so far this season when it comes to pass protection.
