The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to sign kicker Chris Boswell after his workout with the team today, according to ESPN”s Adam Caplan.

Boswell has spent time with the New York Giants and Houston Texans but has never kicked in a regular season game. He converted just under 74% of his attempts over his four year career at Rice.
He apparently beat out veterans Kai Forbath and Randy Bullock, the other two players asked to workout at Heinz Field today.
Signing Boswell, of course, will mean the release of kicker Josh Scobee, who has missed four field goals and an extra point through the first quarter of the season. We’ll update when the move becomes official.
