Season 5, Episode 129 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with Alex Kozora still sitting in for David Todd, we open the show by talking about the passing of former Oakland Raiders quarterback Kenny Stabler. Stabler had quite a few memorable games during his career with several of them coming against the Pittsburgh Steelers. We also take a look at whether or not he will ever be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Two NFL players were severely injured while shooting off fireworks on July 4th so Alex and I discuss that in addition to talking about media ethics as it relates to Adam Schefter of ESPN posting a picture of the medical chart of New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul that showed he had a finger amputated following his accident. We also discuss what Steelers linebacker James Harrison thought of Schefter’s decision to post the picture.
Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown turns 27 on Friday so we wish him a happy birthday and talk briefly about his ranking in the annual NFL Network Top 100 list.
After talking about the current poll results associated with Steelers guard Chris Hubbard, Alex and I continue our march through the Steelers 90-man roster. Today, we discuss the players whose last name begins with the letter “D.”
We also would like to take this time to give you an opportunity to donate to Alex to help out with his upcoming trip to Latrobe to cover all 18 of the Steelers training camp practices. Alex has set up a GoFundMe page here if you are interested in doing so.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
