One More Week To Go: Steelers Friday Night Five Questions

Steelers Depot Friday Night Five Questions

Happy Friday once again to all of you and I hope you had a profitable week. In case you have forgotten, at this same time next week, the Pittsburgh Steelers will have reported to Latrobe for training camp and will be preparing for the first practice which is scheduled to take place Saturday at Saint Vincent College. Hallelujah!

With the above being noted, we still have one more week of dead time to fill, but at least we had something new to talk about after defensive end Cameron Heyward signed a new contract Thursday night. Perhaps we will be blessed with additional positive news to discuss next week to keep us busy.

As usual, I have five questions on this Friday evening for you to answer in the comments below and I hope that you have some free time to do just that. I’d like to thank all of you for visiting the site this past week and I’m sure all of us can’t wait for next Friday to get here.

Peace and love to all of you.

1 – If forced to choose between the two, would you rather the Steelers sign David DeCastro to a long-term contract next offseason or tackle Kelvin Beachum to a long-term deal this year during training camp? This, of course, assumes that the deals offered to both would be somewhat similar in length, total value and guaranteed money. Alex Kozora brought this question up this morning on the podcast and while I have feeling I know which option most of you will choose, I thought I would ask anyway.

2- Tagging onto the first question, do you think Beachum will be signed to a new deal prior to the start of the regular season?

3 – There are bound to be a few transactions during the Steelers upcoming training camp and with that said, name the position played by the first player that is waived.

4 – Now that Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas have both signed new deals, do you see Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown missing any of next year’s offseason program as part of a holdout associated with his current contract? Additionally, would you be mad at him if he chose to take that route?

5- How many interceptions will the Steelers team leader have in 2015?
