With the 2015 NFL Draft now less than one week away, we are starting to see several media mock drafts getting underway. These are usual very good as they feature members of the media that cover each NFL team.
The Los Angeles Times is currently conducting such a mock draft and it’s nearing the end of the first round. Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has made his selection for the Pittsburgh Steelers and he drafted Nebraska edge-rusher Randy Gregory with the 22nd overall selection.
The Steelers are desperate for players who can rush the passer. At 37, the re-signed James Harrison might be the team’s best outside linebacker. – Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
It’s too bad that LSU offensive lineman La’el Collins didn’t last one more pick as that likely would’ve been my selection had I participated. Bouchette’s selection of Gregory is a bit curious being as he knows the team probably might have issues with his character red flags,. Gregory tested positive for marijuana at the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine and also admitted to using the drug quite a bit during his college career.
