2015 Salary Cap

Steelers LB James Harrison To Have $1.25 Million Cap Charge In 2015

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed linebacker James Harrison to two-year, $2.75 million contract on Sunday that included a $500,000 signing bonus and now that the deal has been filed with the NFLPA, we now know what his cap charges will be in both of those years.

Harrison is scheduled to earn base salaries of $1 million and $1.25 million in 2015 and 2016 respectively and that means his cap charges will be $1.25 million and $1.5 million in those years.

Being as Harrison is unlikely to play again in 2016, the Steelers will only suffer a dead money charge of $250,000 should they ultimately part ways with him next offseason.

Harrison reportedly turned down the same offer from the Tennessee Titans.
