Steelers Free Agent CB Brice McCain Has Visit Scheduled With Dolphins

Pittsburgh Steelers free agent cornerback Brice McCain is getting some attention early on in the signing period as he reportedly now has a visit scheduled Wednesday with the Miami Dolphins, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Earlier on Tuesday it was reported that the Minnesota Vikings might also be trying to schedule a visit with McCain, who recorded three interceptions last season with the Steelers. If that’s not enough, the Tennessee Titans are another team that’s reportedly interested in McCain. That makes sense being as former Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau is now in charge of running their defense.

McCain signed a one-year contract last offseason with the Steelers for the minimum after being released by the Houston Texans in March. While he is probably best suited to play in the slot, McCain did show that he could contribute on the outside as well.

The Steelers were probably hoping to re-sign McCain, but it looks like he will have a few teams interested in his services this offseason. Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald is reporting that McCain’s price tag will be in the $3 million per year range and that the Dolphins have already talked money with him. Salguero also says that the Steelers have a three-year contract on the table for McCain.
