Report: Cardinals Talk To Former Steelers DC Dick LeBeau About Possibly Joining Staff

Its only been roughly 48 hours since we heard that the Pittsburgh Steelers and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau were parting ways and already the 77 year-old Hall of Famer has another team interested in him.

According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, LeBeau has already talked with Bruce Arians about possibly joining Arizona Cardinals staff.

Are you shocked?

The Cardinals might be looking for a new defensive coordinator as their current one Todd Bowles has interviewed for several of the current head coaching positions that remain open. Even if Bowles doesn’t leave, hiring LeBeau as a defensive consultant wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals already have the 76 year-old Tom Moore on their coaching staff as an offensive assistant and Tom Pratt, a pass rushing specialist, is also 77.

LeBeau reportedly resigned from the Steelers on Saturday after spending the last 11 seasons in Pittsburgh. Upon doing so he told his hometown newspaper that his intentions at that time were not to retire.
