Steelers Versus Bengals Week 17 Projected Inactive List

The Pittsburgh Steelers will take on the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday night at Heinz Field and below is a best guess as to what the inactive list will look like this week. The official list of inactives will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.

Landry Jones – Jones should complete a full season of being on the inactive list Sunday night. Thanks to Ben Roethlisberger staying healthy all season, there’s been no reason for him to dress.

Clifton Geathers – Geathers has yet to dress for a game since he was signed and there’s no reason to think that will change Sunday night as the Steelers normally only dress five defensive linemen for games.

Justin Brown – Brown last dressed for a game way back in Week 11. The Steelers generally only dress five wide receivers for games, so it’s a good bet that Brown will be inactive again Sunday night.

Chris Hubbard – Now that Marcus Gilbert is back healthy, Hubbard has gone back to being inactive. The Steelers normally only dress seven offensive linemen for games, so look for Hubbard to be one of the seven players listed.

Troy Polamalu – Polamalu ended the week listed as questionable with his knee injury but being as he never was able to practice fully all week, I’m guessing he’ll be down for a second straight week.

Ike Taylor – Taylor is in the same boat as Polamalu as he also ended the week listed as questionable. Taylor also failed to practice fully during the week, so I there’s a good chance he misses yet another game.

Michael Palmer – It’s really hard to tell who the final inactive player will be this week, but being as Palmer showed up Friday as questionable on the injury report with a groin injury, one would think that he really is questionable to play. If he’s indeed inactive Sunday night, at least it looks like tight end Matt Spaeth will be back after missing last week with an elbow injury. Spaeth practiced fully this week and was listed as probable on the Friday injury report.
