Playoff Drought Over As Steelers Beat Chiefs 20-12

The Pittsburgh Steelers clinched a playoff spot Sunday by beating the Kansas City Chiefs 20-12 at Heinz Field.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw for 220 yards and one touchdown to wide receiver Antonio Brown in the win.

The Steelers, who last made the playoffs in 2011, will now have a chance to win the AFC North division if they can beat the Cincinnati Bengals at home next Sunday. The Bengals will host the Denver Broncos Monday night.

The Steelers defense did a masterful job of keeping the Chiefs offense out of the end zone despite giving up several long drives. In addition, they recorded six sacks in the game.

The Steelers defense also held the Chiefs offense to just 39 yards rushing.

In the loss, Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith was 31-of-45 passing for 311 yards. Chiefs wide receiver Albert Wilson finished the game with five catches for 87 yards.
